The Hindu tradition calls Ganesha as the Vighneshvara, which in the Sanskrit language translates as ”one who is the lord of obstacles or difficulties.”
He is usually depicted with a big body, representing that the entire creation is inside Him. He has 4 arms which represent His status as the universal ruler and establish His influence over the four categories of sentient beings – those who can live in water and on earth, those who can live only in water, those who can fly and those who can live only on earth.
