Mittar Pyare Nu Haal Mureedan Da Kehna complete lyrics in Gurmukhi:

”mithr piaarae noo(n) haal mureedhaa dhaa kehinaa
thudhh bin rog rajaaeeaa dhaa oudtan naag nivaasaa dhae rehinaa
sool suraahee kha(n)jar piaalaa bi(n)g kasaaeeaaa(n) dhaa sehinaa
yaararrae dhaa saanoo(n) saathhar cha(n)gaa bhat(h) khaerriaa dhaa rehinaa.”

Translation in English:

”Tell the condition of the believers to my Beloved friend.
Without You, using bed sheets is like a sickness and like living as being wrapped by the snakes.
The pitcher is a thorn and the glass is a dagger which are like tolerating being butchered.
Death bed with my Beloved is better than body burning without Him.”

Description:

This is the amazing Shabad by the tenth master, Guru Gobind Singh ji. He was one of the most important shapers of the Sikh religion. His spiritual teachings have inspired the Sikh community and others for generations. He had to spend most of his time fighting against the suppression and oppression committed by the unjust forces. He was a unique nation builder who fought for goodness and righteousness.

Guru Ji conferred Guruship upon the sacred scripture – Guru Granth Sahib Ji in 1708 at Nanded before he demised. To further illustrate his point that the scripture was the actual final Guru of the Sikhs, and as a sign of humility, the Guru doesn’t include his spiritual writings, over 1400 pages worth of Gurbani, in the scripture Guru Granth Sahib Ji. A completely separate volume, called Dasam Granth, features the writings of Guru Gobind Singh ji.

Before his departure from this world, he detailed Banda Singh Bahadur Ji (a Sikh military commander) to fight against suppression and oppression. Furthermore, Guru Ji also gave a blessing to many institutions of the Khalsa Panth, which in the present day are preaching the morals of Sikhism to the entire world.
