Description:
This chant is a Vedic Shanti mantra and is recited at the beginning of Vedic Studies from Taittiriya Upanishad. Shanti mantras are also known as “Peace Mantras”. Chanting these mantras calms the mind of the practitioner.
This type of mantras always ends with three times “Shanti”. The reason is to remove any hindrances in three realms, which are: “Physical” (Adhi-Bhautika), “Divine” (Adhi-Daivika) and “Internal” (Adhyaatmika).
