Twameva Mata Cha Pita Twameva complete lyrics:

„Twameva Mata Cha Pita Twameva,
Twameva Bandhu Sakha Twameva,
Twameva Vidya Sarvinam Twameva,
Twameva Sarvam Mum Deva Deva.”

Twameva Mata Cha Pita Twameva translation in English:

„O God,
You are my mother, my father, my brother, and my friend.
You are my knowledge and my only wealth.
You are everything to me and the God of all Gods.”

Description:

This mantra is usually chanted at the conclusion of a prayer session, meditation, or religious function. Here the practitioner surrenders his or her individuality to the Lord for his Grace.

This amazing mantra comes from the Pandava Gita, a collection of exquisitely beautiful verses from different sources.

But, all mantras came from the single sacred sound: „Om”. Om is a combination of three main sounds: Aa-Vu-Ma. „Aa” represents Lord Vishnu, the sustainer, „Vu” represents Lord Shiva, the destroyer, and „Ma” represents Lord Brahma, the creator.

„Man” means mind and „tra” means instrument or tool, so the word „mantra” literally translates as instrument of the mind. Mantra yoga represents „union by voice or sound,” and refers to the rhythmic repetition of mantras.

By constant repetition and chanting of a mantra, you start to get pure thoughts, good positive energy flows into your Mind.

With great positive thoughts, divine thoughts, pure thoughts, your mind gets purified.

All the thoughts that we repeat in our mind have vibrations, even though we are not hearing them out loud. Thoughts have an effect, and this effect is not automatically always positive, but when we repeat a mantra, it teaches the mind to calm down and let go. You go beyond the mind and into silence.

„Through mantra practice, positive karma flows freely into our lives, desires are fulfilled, spiritual abilities (siddhis) manifest, and we have moved another step forward toward moksha-complete spiritual freedom.” – Thomas Ashley-Farrand’s quote.
