Guru Gaitri Mantra – Gobinde Mukande Udare Apare translation in English:
„Sustainer, Liberator, Enlightener, Infinite, Destroyer, Creator, Nameless, Desireless.”
This potent mantra works on karmic blocks, errors and problems from our past that we carry with us.
„Besides helping cleanse the subconscious mind, it balances the hemispheres of the brain, bringing compassion and patience to the one who meditates on it.” – quote by Yogi Bhajan.
It was written by Guru Gobind Singh, the 10th Sikh Guru in his amazing poem, Jaap Sahib. Guru Gobind Singh was a spiritual master, poet, warrior and philosopher. He became Guru on November 24, 1675 at the age of 9, following in the footsteps of his father Guru Teg Bahadur ji. He gave the Sikhs their unique symbols – the uncut hair, the pure iron kara, the dastar, and the sword.
He declared the the Sikh holy book as his successor rather of a human being. The Guru Granth Sahib would thus be the Sikhs’ guide forever. Sikhs give it the same respect and status as a human Guru.
