Lyrics in Gurmukhi script:
”Ek Ongkar Sat Gur Prasad, Sat Gur Prasad Ek Ongkar.”
Reverse negative to positive mantra meaning:
There is one Creator of all Creation. All is a blessing of the One Creator. This realization comes through Guru’s Grace.
This is a mantra that reverses the mind and is part of the Sikh tradition (a monotheistic religion that originated in the 15th century in the Punjab region, India).
All Sikh mantras are called Gurbani and refer to any compositions of the Sikh Gurus and other writers from Shri Guru Granth Sahib (which is the main religious text of Sikhism, it is a voluminous text of 1430 pages, compiled and composed during the period of Sikh gurus, from 1469 to 1708).
“Like the mad dog running around in all directions, the greedy person, unaware, consumes everything, edible and non-edible alike. Engrossed in the intoxication of sexual desire and anger, people wander through reincarnation over and over again.” – quote from Shri Guru Granth Sahib.
The language of this mantra is Gurmukhi, a common script used for writing in the Punjabi language in India and was standardized by the second Sikh guru, Guru Angad, in the 16th century.
The whole immense text – Shri Guru Granth Sahib is written in Gurmukhi script. Also, in Kundalini yoga, the mantras are chanted in this ancient language – Gurmukhi.
This mantra was transmitted from Guru Nanak to his son, Baba Siri Chand. It is also believed that reverse negative to positive mantra (the name of this mantra in West) contains the essence of Shri Guru Granth Sahi and brings its energy to reside in the heart. According to Yogi Bhajan, another name for this mantra is “The Eyes of Indra”.
“When you understand who and what you are, your radiance projects into the universal radiance and everything around you become creative and full of opportunity.” – Yogi Bhajan’s quote.
Chanting this mantra comes with a warning: after we chant it – “never use a wrong word or a negative word” – Yogi Bhajan.

“For each and every person, our Lord and Master provides sustenance. Why are you so afraid, O mind? The flamingos fly hundreds of miles, leaving their young ones behind. Who feeds them, and who teaches them to feed themselves? Have you ever thought of this in your mind?” ― Guru Nanak, Shri Guru Granth Sahib.
